5th December 2022
Wing Boarding: Colwyn Bay
Wind Direction: ENE
Wind Stength: F3/F4
Surf / Sea State: Big chop and waves
Air Temperature: 7.5
Sea Temperature: 10.5
Weather: Cloud
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Bit too East for local Llanfairfechan so Colwyn Bay as more open to easterlies. Chop very big and didn't get one gybe in as picked up by chop or underlying chest-high onshore waves. But at least I could fly through big chop going slowly. Couldn't get back hand into back handle fast enough with gloves so had to start like that which can dip wing tip on knees.
I don't remember it being this choppy here in eastlies when I windsurfed 5-6m, maybe wind stronger winds smoothed sea of windsurfing can cope better than I remember.
Wind got quite light but could pick up speed with swells to fly.
At least new wetsuit kept me warm.
It has been light easterlies for a while, with even colder northerlies coming so looks like it is going to be a quiet December and I won't quite reach 50% of days sailed, which would have been cool
